Lathe Machine Operator – Qualification Summary (5–7 Years Experience)
- Education: Technical diploma or vocational training in Machining, Mechanical Technology, or Industrial Maintenance.
- Experience: 5–7 years operating manual and CNC lathe machines in manufacturing, fabrication, or workshop environments.
- Skills:
- Proficient in lathe setup, tool selection, and precision machining
- Skilled in reading technical drawings, interpreting tolerances, and measuring components
- Fluent in English with strong documentation and safety communication abilities
- Experienced in thread cutting, boring, facing, and turning operations
- Familiar with quality control procedures, equipment maintenance, and shop safety standards
- Responsibilities:
- Operate lathe machines to produce components as per engineering specifications
- Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure dimensional accuracy
- Maintain tools and machines, perform routine checks, and report faults
