Job Description

Design Coordinator – Qualification Summary (8+ Years, Marine Construction)

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or Marine Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years in design coordination roles, with significant exposure to marine construction projects such as ports, harbors, offshore structures, or coastal infrastructure.
  • Skills:
    • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, and BIM workflows
    • Strong understanding of marine engineering principles, geotechnical interfaces, and hydrodynamic design constraints
    • Skilled in coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and integrating structural, MEP, and marine systems
    • Familiar with international codes and standards (e.g., Eurocode, BS, ACI, API, DNV)
    • Fluent in English with excellent technical documentation and communication skills
  • Responsibilities:
    • Lead design development from concept to IFC stage
    • Review and validate shop drawings, clash detection, and design compliance
    • Liaise with consultants, contractors, and marine specialists to ensure constructability and regulatory approvals
    • Manage design timelines, revisions, and approvals across stakeholders
