Job Description
QC Technician (Dimensional Control) – Qualification Summary (5–7 Years Experience)
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 5–7 years in dimensional control and quality inspection roles within fabrication, construction, or industrial projects.
- Skills:
- Proficient in dimensional inspection techniques using tools like total stations, laser scanners, calipers, and micrometers
- Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings, tolerances, and fabrication standards
- Fluent in English with strong documentation, reporting, and communication abilities
- Familiar with ISO, ASME, and project-specific QC standards
- Experienced in working with QA/QC teams to verify alignment, fit-up, and final dimensions
- Responsibilities:
- Conduct dimensional inspections on fabricated components, assemblies, and site installations
- Record and report deviations, issue NCRs, and support corrective actions
- Maintain inspection logs and ensure compliance with project specifications
- Coordinate with engineering, fabrication, and construction teams to resolve dimensional issues
