Job Description
Safety Officer – Qualification Summary (5–7 Years Experience)
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or Engineering.
- Experience: 5–7 years in safety roles across construction, industrial, or oil & gas sectors.
- Skills:
- Fluent in English with strong communication, reporting, and training abilities
- Proficient in conducting risk assessments, site inspections, and incident investigations
- Skilled in implementing safety plans, emergency procedures, and PPE compliance
- Familiar with ISO 45001, OHSAS 18001, and local regulatory standards
- Experienced in delivering toolbox talks, maintaining safety records, and promoting a zero-incident culture
- Responsibilities:
- Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures
- Identify hazards, issue corrective actions, and follow up on compliance
- Conduct safety inductions and awareness sessions for workers and staff
- Support audits, incident reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
