Job Description
Welder – Qualification Summary (5–7 Years Experience)
- Education: Technical diploma or certified training in Welding Technology or Fabrication.
- Experience: 5–7 years in welding roles across construction, fabrication, oil & gas, or industrial sectors.
- Skills:
- Proficient in SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and FCAW welding processes
- Skilled in reading engineering drawings, weld symbols, and fabrication specifications
- Fluent in English with strong documentation and communication abilities
- Familiar with welding codes (AWS, ASME, API) and quality control standards
- Experienced in weld preparation, fit-up, post-weld inspection, and defect correction
- Responsibilities:
- Perform welding tasks on structural components, piping, and equipment as per project requirements
- Ensure weld quality through proper technique, alignment, and adherence to procedures
- Maintain welding tools and equipment in safe working condition
- Support QA/QC teams during inspections and rectify non-conformities
